paragraph to read, "remainder of the fiscal year".
3. Adopt-A-Wash Booth at Jazz Festival (10/23 & 24/2004) Critique
Consensus was that hosting a booth at GOVAC was a worthwhile
endeavor. Attendance and interest were good. It is generally agreed that
the greatest attendance occurred on Saturday morning and Sunday
afternoon. We gave 150 Adopt-A-Wash fact sheets handouts to visitors.
Several people actually signed up for the program. Several reported cases
of illicit dumping into CDO Wash by a paint contractor. The water bottles
and refrigerator magnets were well received by the public. We agreed that
we should exhibit next year. A banner and more prominent placement of
the PAG poster were suggested.
4. CIP Pima County Flood Control Updates
Jim reported that Pima County is forming a CIP Sub-Committee for flood
control to review and prioritize projects. Jim will be the representative for
the Town of Oro Valley. Jim submitted a list of projects to Pima County.
This week Jim met with a consultant for the Oro Valley Country Club.
The golf course has given verbal approval regarding drainage and flood
repair. SWUC will review projects located in Oro Valley before they are
submitted to Pima County. Jim will draft a letter and project list for
SWUC to review before the Study Session in Dec.

5. Comparison of Floods
Ralph reviewed the Comparrison of Floods document created by Pima
County several years ago that outlines the difference between flood
control and stormwater management. The group agreed that this form is a
good comparison summary.
6. GPS GIS Data Base
Rich reported that Chuck Sweet has approved the purchase of the GIS
equipment. Rual Duato, GIS Analyst has submitted his resignation so this
may delay the training and use of the equipment until a replacement can
be hired and brought up to speed. Ralph asked if there was any training
time available on the GIS equipment for SWUC. Rich indicated that he
didn't think so,but he would find out. Rich asked everyone to review the
GPS and GIS Data Base Info. Ideas and return any changes or additions to
him by the Study Session in December.
