LA CANADA DRIVE ORO VALLEY, ARIZONA CALL TO ORDER— Chair Hoffmann called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Attendance: John Hoffmann — Chair Rick Reynolds — Commissioner Philip Saletta —Water Utility Director David Ruiz— Engineering Division Manager Robert Jacklitch —Project Manager CALL TO AUDIENCE —There were no members of the audience in attendance and therefore no requests to speak. ITEM #1 UPDATE AND REVIEW OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CENTRAL ARIZONA PROJECT WATER (P. Saletta) There was discussion regarding the planning for the development of Central Arizona Project Water. Mr. Saletta presented information regarding the options for delivering our CAP water. There was discussion regarding short-term and long-term options. These options were presented in a table that described the projects, compared costs, identified advantages and disadvantages, and impact on projected water rates and fees. The discussions focused on the short-term options which are essentially the delivery of our CAP water through the Tucson Water (TW) system. This concept is also known as "wheeling" of our CAP water through TVV. A schedule and timing of these projects was also discussed. There was discussion and consensus that Chair Hoffmann would develop a motion supporting moving forward with discussions with TW on the short-term interim CAP delivery options for the Water Utility Commission to consider at their upcoming meeting on February 14, 2011. CALL TO AUDIENCE — There were no members of the audience in attendance and therefore no requests to speak. NEXT MEETING —There was no meeting date set at this time.
