LA CAÑADA DRIVE            REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 5:00 PM    Chair Biel called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.   ROLL CALL Present: Puntadeleste Bozeman, Commissioner Nicole Casaus, Commissioner Auvie Lee, Vice Chair Dan Biel, Chair Absent: Staff Present:Tobin Sidles, Legal Services Director Lynanne Dellerman-Silverthorn, Recreation and Cultural Services Manager MaryAnne Tolmie, Recording Secretary Attendees: Steve Solomon, Council Liaison CALL TO AUDIENCE    Chair Biel opened Call to Audience. No one wished to speak. Chair Biel closed Call to Audience.   COUNCIL LIAISON COMMENTS    Council Member Solomon reported that the budget meeting season is progressing. Several projects at Steam Pump Ranch were reviewed at the last council meeting. He asked the commission to review the meeting to learn what projects are impacted.   CONSENT AGENDA   1.REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MAY 2, 2022 MEETING MINUTES       Motion by Chair Dan Biel, seconded by Vice Chair Auvie Lee to approve the May 2, 2022 Historic Preservation Commission meeting minutes.  Vote: 4 - 0 Carried     REGULAR SESSION AGENDA   1.DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO RECOMMEND CHANGES TO THE ORO VALLEY CULTURAL HERITAGE PRESERVATION PLAN ITEM #5 UNDEVELOPED AREAS OF TOWN       The December 6, 2021 report presented on this topic was replayed. Vice Chair Lee reported that the documents needed to be updated and reiterated that the magnitude of the item may necessitate study groups instead of action this evening. The process of how to complete this Herculean task will be moved to a future agenda.   2.DISCUSSION REGARDING THE FUTURE POSSIBILITY OF COOPERATING WITH EQUESTRIAN GROUPS OR ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS THE 4H AT STEAM PUMP RANCH    Paul Loomis, an Oro Valley resident, expressed opposition to this agenda item. Staff and Commissioner discussed the topic at length.   DEPARTMENT UPDATE    Ms. Dellerman-Silverthorn gave a brief update that included construction and summer events.   FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS    Commissioner Bozeman asked for equestrian activities to be placed on a future agenda. Comissioner Casus seconded. Vice Chair Lee asked that the Cultural Heritage Preservation Plan as it relates to archeological resources be placed on a future agenda. Commissioner Cassus seconded.   ADJOURNMENT    Motion by Chair Dan Biel, seconded by Vice Chair Auvie Lee to adjourn at 5:57 p.m.  Vote: 4 - 0 Carried     I hereby certify that the foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of the minutes of the regular session of the Town of Oro Valley Historic Preservation Commission of Oro Valley, Arizona held on the 6th day of May, 2022.
