BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMISSION
REGULAR SESSION

REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 4:00 PM
CALL TO ORDER - Chair Solverson called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: James Beasley, Commissioner
John Fortunato, Commissioner
Michael Mason, Vice-Chair
Cathy Solverson, Chair
Staff Present:David Gephart, Chief Financial Officer
Tobin Sidles, Legal Services Director
Wendy Gomez, Deputy Finance Director
Chris Hutchison, Senior Budget Analyst
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Chair Solverson led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
CALL TO AUDIENCE - No comments were received.
STAFF LIAISON REPORT
Chief Financial Officer David Gephart reported on the following:
- Auditors are scheduled to be on-site next week and then staff will draft financial statements
- Jack Longley resigned from the Commission and staff will advertise the vacancy soon
- At the Town Council meeting tomorrow evening on the Consent Agenda there is an item regarding the loan
from the General Fund to the Water Utility Fund to utilize our ARPA resources for a 15-year loan
REGULAR SESSION AGENDA
1.REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE JUNE 21, 2022 REGULAR SESSION MEETING MINUTES
Motion by Commissioner James Beasley, seconded by Vice-Chair Michael Mason to approve the
June 21, 2022 regular session meeting minutes as written.
Vote: 4 - 0 Carried
2.PRESENTATION AND POSSIBLE DISCUSSION OF THE TOWN'S FY 21/22 FINANCIAL UPDATE
THROUGH JUNE 2022 (Please reference attachments)

Deputy Finance Director Wendy Gomez provided a presentation regarding the Town of Oro Valley's
FY 21/22 Financial Update through June 2022.
Discussion ensued amongst staff and commissioners.
COUNCIL LIAISON COMMENTS - The council liaison was not present.

- Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve
- Westward Look
- ASRS pension fund
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Vice-Chair Michael Mason, seconded by Commissioner James Beasley to adjourn the
meeting at 4:41 p.m.
Vote: 4 - 0 Carried
