PETITION FOR INCORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF PALO VERDE
We, the undersigned, do hereby petition the Board of Super-
visors of Pima County, Arizona, and do represent to the Board as
follows:
• 1. That we are real property taxpayers within that certain
community, whose metes and bounds are set forth in Exhibit A
attached hereto, and that we reside within the boundaries of the
aforesaid community; that none of the area defined in Exhibit A
attached hereto lies within six miles of the official boundaries
of the City of Tucson, State of Arizona; that we represent more
than two-thirds of all of the real property taxpayers residing
within the aforesaid community.
2. That the aforesaid community, as defined in Exhibit A
attached hereto, does contain a population of over 500 inhabi-

3. That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9-101 A. of
the Arizona Revised Statutes, we do hereby petition the Board of
Supervisors to declare the aforesaid community incorporated as
the town of Palo Verde.
4. That the community as set forth in Exhibit A attached
hereto contains a body of people residing in proximity to each
other and having common interests in public health, public pro-
tection, fire protection, public recreation and water services
which bind together the people of the area, and where the people
are acquainted and mingle in business, social, educational and
recreational activities. •
5. That the community as set forth in Exhibit A attached
hereto contains, among others, a high school, a country club, the
headquarters of a major land development corporation and an elec-
tronics industry.
WHEREFORE, we pray that the Board of Supervisors forthwith
hold a hearing on this Petition and that said Board declare the
aforesaid described community incorporated as the town of Palo
Verde.

to be included within the proposed town of Palo Verde, as depicted on
Exhibit A - 1 attached hereto, and that all of the above described area
is located more than six miles beyond the presently established bound-
aries of the City of Tucson, Arizona.
