The site AT&T is proposing to build will be on an existing TEP Pole in the Lambert Lane right-of-way. The nature of this request is that AT&T is seeking approval to place their 8' CMU equipment compound wall on the right-of-way line shared with the parcel owned Mr. & Mrs. Perrault of 10380 N. Hacienda Hermosa Dr, APN #224-40-1530. The reasons for placing the CMU wall on the property are as follows: 1. In an effort to minimize the visual impact of our equipment area on the immediate area the decision was made to locate on the west side of the prominent hill which is just to the west of the intersection of La Canada Dr. and Lambert Lane, approximately 245 feet west of the Hacienda Hermosa Dr. The ground narrows in this area because it is the junction of a wash head and the utility access dirt road. To avoid encroaching into the utility access road, we are forced to move our equipment area to the south against the right-of-way line shared with the parcel owned by the Perrault. Moving the equipment area to the east, does not provide any relief to our problem because the road is still there, and to the north is a steep bank running down into Lambert Lane. 2. The hil! top parcel mentioned above, (APN #224-39-011B), was purposely avoided because of known neighborhood sentiment that this parcel be left undeveloped, natural, desert, and that the neighborhood would be strongly opposed to any development on this parcel.. 3. The targeted coverage service area for this cell site has it placed as close to the intersection of Lambert Lane& La Canada Drive as possible with some elevation: To avoid interference with the existing Veriion site at this intersection, the decision was made to build the site to the west along Lambert Lane, but to avoid the using the hill parcel, (APN #224-39- 011B): . . In conclusion, we are currently working with Mr. & Mrs. Perrault to minimize -any impact this variance will have on their land by designing changes to their backyard wall. This design should be completed and agreed to within the next week or so.
