GOVERNMENT REVIEW TASK FORCE
MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 27, 2000
• The eleventh Government Review Task Force meeting was called to order by
Chairman Loomis at 4:38 p.m.
• A`r'T'ENDANCE:
• Chairman Paul Loomis
• Kathi Cuvelier
• Don Dvorak
• Vice-Chairman Jim Kriegh
• Susan Baczkiewicz
• Larry Holden
• Marilyn Cook
• Richard Feinberg
• Dan Dudley (absent)
• APPROVAL, OF MINUTES. Don Dvorak motioned for approval of the
November 13, 2000 meeting minutes with revisions as discussed. Seconded
by Richard Feinberg. Motion carried 5-0.
• COUNCIL. MEMBERSHIP. The revised draft recommendation report
concerning Council Membership was reviewed. Don Dvorak motioned for
approval of the report with revisions as discussed. Seconded by Marilyn
Cook. Motion carried 4-1. Larry Holden abstained.
• DISTRICTING. The revised draft recommendation report concerning
Districting was also reviewed. Larry Holden motioned for approval of the
report with revisions as discussed. Seconded by Vice-Chairman Kriegh.
Motion carried 5-0.
• APPOINTMENT TO BOARDS/COMMISSIONS. Chairman Loomis
initiated a round-table discussion. Don Dvorak is concerned about the use of
the Town employee 6-page evaluation form for volunteers or those appointed
to a Board/Commission. He believes a simpler evaluation is more
appropriate, where attendance, evidence that a member has done his
homework, and participation are the elements for appraisal. Vice-Chairman
Kriegh suggested forming an outline in order to address the issue of
appointment to Boards/Commissions, as was created by Henry Suozzi in his
packet of material referencing his research of volunteerism See attached
outline form.
• NEW BUSINESS. A Study Session has been scheduled for Monday,
January 8, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will address the GTF
recommendations concerning Council Membership, Districting, and the Town
Code revisions referencing the MayorNice-Mayor/Mayor Pro Tempore. The

meeting will also address Council packet schedules. Chairman Loomis asked
that the GTF name a member to present each issue for discussion.
• NEXT MEETING. Chairman Loomis declared a Special Meeting for
Monday,

by Larry Holden. Motion carried 5-0.
