Meeting called to order at 4:01 p.m. The Dec. 17 meeting summary was accepted. 2. Review of December 17, 2009, meeting summary Group requested that the discussion of density impacts to ridgelines be noted. Meeting summary was accepted. 3. Cultural resources update Bayer Vella provided an update. Staff will be attending the Historic Preservation Commission meeting on Jan. 10 to provide an update. 4 Review and discussion of Section III.C.3., Open Space Requirements Bayer provided some background context to this section, which he believes still needs some work before it can be considered complete. David Williams noted that some of the major elements are from Scottsdale. The group discussed the provisions for riparian disturbance: provide incentives for rehabilitating key linkages to allow road crossing. In current code, the only disturbance allowed is for utilities, and it must be balanced with mitigation elsewhere on site. Bayer reminded the group that the current code allows platting of larger lots into riparian areas; the PAC should decide if they want this code to take the same approach. The group discussed Section 3.A.1., and the 90% open space requirement. They wish to clarify this issue further and to change the paragraph. 4. Discussion of Future Agenda Items For the next meeting, items will include continued discussion on open space section. 5.
