Oracle Road Oro Valley, AZ 85704 Gary.szanto@prca.academy.com RE: Recreation Vehicles (RV's) on the property for the Sower Ministry at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Dear Gary, Staff has evaluated the request to allow permanent parking spaces for RV's at the above referenced property. The RV's are related to the program that allows Sower members to perform specific duties at the property while living on -site. The description you provided shows that the RV's will be usually parked on the property, November through April and may rotate units throughout that time. It appears that there is space for three RV's at one time. The zoning code allows ancillary and accessory uses for properties as long as the proposed use is subordinate to the primary use. The Town approves the use of RV's parked on the property for the Ministry program which will be considered an ancillary use for the Christian school and the RV's act as accessory buildings for the program. No further action is required on your part other than there may need to be building permits for electrical services to the pads. Please contact our Building Safety division for permitting details. Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns. Sincerely, Bayer Vella Planning Manager Town of Oro Valley Bvella@orovalleyaz.gov 520-229-4810 Oro Valley, it's in our nature. 11000 N. La Canada Drive, Oro Valley, Arizona 85737 www.orovalleyaz.gov I phone: (520) 229-4800 1 fax: (520) 742-1022 To: Bayer Vella Planning and Zoning Administrator February 5, 2018 Mr. Vella, on behalf of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, I want to thank you and your staff for your willingness and your diligence to research the zoning ordinances to find one that would accommodate us for our herein expressed needs on our campus at 9500 N Oracle Rd. After receiving a call from Patty Hayes on your staff we have decided that an Accessory Use Permit would be the best option for our situation so we are asking for one in this memo for the use of the Sower Ministry participants to park their RVs. The participants engage in our projects approximately 180 days per year from the middle of November through the middle of April with a rotation of participants and new ones each month. We have three RV setup locations side by side accessible and attached to our North parking lot on the East side which are depicted on drawings with this packet. Most of the RVs are Class A. Some participants chose to buy a dully pickup and a nice Travel Trailer to live in and pull rather than an RV toting a car behind them. I have included in this packet a synopsis of the Sower Performance Package and the proficiency level of each individual sowers' skills. Thank you for your services in Oro Valley, Gary W.
