Item 5, regarding extension of the temporary use of A-frame signs and outdoor displays until
Feb. 6, 2017.

A-frame signs are effective, unobtrusive tools for businesses. One Chamber member wrote this:
The A Frame is one of the most recognizable signs in the world. For local and small
businesses it is a very cost-effective option in advertising strategy.
In considering shopping plazas and mall strips, having an A Frame a few feet from your front
door helps customers find your business and drives customers to your business. They are great
for steering customers to hard-to-find businesses.

A Frames also allow owners to advertise specials and sales, which benefits the owner and Oro
Valley. When used properly and safely, we see no reason to discontinue the use of A Frames in
Oro Valley.
