Valley, Arizona 85737.
WITNESSETH
The Grantor, for good consideration does hereby remise,release and quitclaim unto the
Grantee forever, all the right,title, interest and claim which the Grantor has in and to the
following described parcel of land, and improvements and appurtenances thereto in the
County of Pima, State of Arizona,to wit:
That portion of land in the northwest quarter of Section 24 Township 12
South Range 13 East,Gila and Salt River Meridian,Pima County,Arizona,
more particularly described as follows;
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Section 24,a found brass cap;
Thence North 89 degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds East, 1,917.96 feet along the
north line of said northwest corner;
Thence South 00 degrees 08 minutes 43 seconds East,30 feet to the northeast
corner of Lot 16,Linda Vista Citrus Tracts No.2, said point being the Point
of Beginning;
Thence continuing South 00 degrees 08 minutes 43 seconds East,631.23 feet 2
to the southeast corner of said Lot 16,Linda Vista Citrus Tracts No. 2;
Thence North 89 degrees 55 minutes 56 seconds East,30.00 feet;
Thence North 00 degrees 08 minutes 43 seconds West, 631.23 feet;

RESOLUTION NO. (R)04- 18
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
ORO VALLEY, ARIZONA, VACATING A PORTION OF THE CALLE
ALMENDRA RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, the Town of Oro Valley is a political subdivision
of the State of Arizona, and pursuant to Article 13, Section 7 of the Arizona
Constitution, is vested with all rights, privileges, benefits and is entitled to
the immunities and exemptions granted municipalities and political
subdivisions under the Constitution and laws of the State of Arizona and the
United States; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Oro Valley has the authority to
vacate dedicated rights-of-way pursuant to Section 7-7 of the Oro Valley
Town Code; and
WHEREAS, portions of the Calle Almendra right-of-way have
been previously dedicated to the Town by process of annexation from Pima
County; and
WHEREAS, the dedicated right-of-way is not needed for
public use; and
WHEREAS, no land adjoining said dedicated right-of-way
would be left without access to a public street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and
Council of the Town of Oro Valley, Arizona, to approve the vacation of a
portion of the Calle Almendra right-of-way as described in Attachment 1, to
the adjacent property owners.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Town Council of
the Town of Oro Valley, Arizona, this 17 tiday of March , 2004.

Before the Town will consider this application to vacate a public street, easement or alley,
the following items will need to be`submitted with the application:
o The applicant must provide a complete written explanation of why the vacating is
sought; why it is felt that the Town no longer requires the use of said property.
(Written explanation to be attached hereto)
o Fees to cover administration, legal and engineering costs: Abandonment of streets
and alleys - $780.00 NOTE: All fees are non-refundable
o An accurate legal description of the property to be vacated must be provided.
o Applicant must provide an acceptable title report and a county assessor's map
clearly describing the Subject Street or alley. All adjacent property owners, their
addresses and phone numbers must also be included.
o Written permission and authorization for the requested vacating must be secured
from all affected public utilities. Copies of all letters of authorization and permission
must be submitted with this application.

o Applicant shall furnish at time of the application appropriate Quitclaim Deed forms
to the Town pursuant to the request of vacating. The Quitclaim Deeds shall be in a
form sufficient to convey title in the manner set forth in ARS 28-1902 et. seq.
o Applicant must provide a map indicating the exact location of the property to be
vacated.
All conditions required in Article 7-7 must be satisfied by applicant except those specially
stated as requiring Town Council action or waived by Town Council.

Re: Abandonment of Calle Almendra South of Linda Vista Boulevard
Dear Mr. Faaborg:
Calle Almendra was platted many years ago and never built. It has already been abandoned north
of Linda Vista. Its abandonment south of Linda Vista, where it simply dead ends into a parking
lot, would preserve many ironwood and mesquite trees and remove a potential liability for the
Town of Oro Valley.
