LA CANADA DRIVE OCTOBER 19, 2004 CALL TO ORDER: 4:00 p.m. PRESENT: Steve Lucas, President Tom Vetrano, Treasurer Bob Horn, Secretary ALSO PRESENT: David Andrews, Finance Director David Ruiz, Water Department Kathryn Cuvelier, Town Clerk APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 5, 2003 MINUTES Tom Vetrano MOVED to approve the minutes of the November 5, 2003 meeting. MOTION SECONDED by Bob Horn. MOTION carried 3 —0. ELECTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS A MOTION was made by Tom Vetrano to elect the Board of Directors as follows: Bob Horn, Secretary Tom Vetrano, Treasurer Steve Lucas, President MOTION SECONDED by Bob Horn. Motion carried 3 —0. STATUS OF THE RECLAIMED WATER PIPELINE PROJECT—PHASE I Water Utility Manager David Ruiz reviewed the status of Phase I of the Reclaimed Water Pipeline Project, which is installing a 24"pipeline to bring reclaimed water to Oro Valley from Thomydale and Tangerine Road. This will provide reclaimed water to Vistoso Highlands, Stone Canyon and Sun City Golf Courses. The project should be completed January 31, 2005. Mr. Ruiz explained that Phase II of the project will be in service June 2007. Anyone owning 2 acres of turf will be required to use reclaimed water. Reclaimed Water Service will be available to Homeowner's Associations for landscaping common areas as long as they are located along the pipeline alignment. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BOARD/COMMISSION MEMBERS 10/19/04 Minutes,Oro Valley Municipal Property Corporation 2 Town Clerk Kathryn Cuvelier handed out the curriculum for the upcoming CPI Program and also the Board/Commission appointment process. Finance Director David Andrews and Kathryn Cuvelier both agreed that since the MPC is such a unique Board, taking the CPI course is recommended but not required.
