REVIEW FIRE ADVISORY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS TO TOV'VN COUNCIL REGARDING EMERGENCY SERVICES CONSULTING REPORT,WHICH WILL BE PRESENTED SEPTEMBER 9, 1998. � Mr. Rutt read his recommendations formulated on behalf of the Fire Advisory Committee to the , Town Council. (copy not submitted to secretary). Fire and Medical Emergency Service plans in order to provide Fire and Emergency Services to the Town the following must be incorporated in the plan: . 1. Emergency Services 2. Fire Prevention and Code enforcement performance standards 3. I S O Insuranc e rating 4. Mutual aid S. Fire Protection Systems 6. Dispatch Services � 7. Emergency Management 8. Single Fire Marshall with professional training : 9. Plan for the future --- He stated his recommendations seem to be incorporated into the Fire Advisory Committee's ' recommendations that vvere distributed priox to the rneeting. ,, , � � � 1'age 1 of 3 � i � � . _� s. Mr. Koslowski seconded the rnotions � Motion carried unanixnously. � � GRFD RESPONSE TO CHIEF WOLFF'S 6/16/9� 1VIEM0 `TO TOV'VN MAI�TAGER �REGARDING ESCG FINAL REPO1z� � � � � � �S ecretary,I�iane Little, interrupted to rriake the correction that it was not j ust a Final lZeport, but � a Final "Draft"I�eporte Ms. Kvancz stated�that it vvas the Final Report. Ms. Little stated that Chief Wolff was responding to was the�raft Report not the Final l�eport and he wanted it corrected. Ms. Kvancz read GRFD's (Chief Fink's) four (4)page letter of response (written July 23,1998 although not included on the letter)to Chief Wolff s June 16, 1998 memo to the Towri manager regarding the ESCG Final Draft Report. (see attached) Chief Fink stated he had personally clarif�ed additional information on Chief Wolf�'s old residence and his current residence. In � doing so, he calculated both residences for him. One residence would have been$18 more if in his district and the other would have been$121ess. He stated some people would find they pay _ more in his district and some would pay less. '��- '�� Ms. I�vancz stated to Mr. I�irby Hamby of lZural Metro Fire Department that the corrections submitted by him to Ms. Kvancz and forwaxded to Jin�I�avis would probably be verbal corrections as the Report was so large that to redo it would not be possible. Ms. Kvancz questioned Mr. Hamby as to when the First Draft came out whether RMFD had examined it to make corrections and comments on paper. Mr. Hamby assured Ms. Kvancz that there had been a combination of things done including e-mails and multiple telephone contacts to the consultants. Also, he had sent a letter to 1VIs. I�vancz. Mr. Koslowski read the four(4)page letter from Mr. Kirby Hamby of Rural/Metro Fire Department to Ms. Kvancz for corrections to be made in the ESCG Final Report. (see attached) Mr. McCulloch asked what the consultants responses were when RMFD contacted them on the errors? RMFD's representative stated that their response was "thanks for telling us". RMFD assumed that it would be changed. There were no changes even with all the e-mail, documentation and phone calls. In reference to the apartment complex south of Town Hall they were told that a representative had made a dia�nosis froxn the road because of the construction proj ect. If they had gone for a close look,they would have found the proper fire protection there. � Ms. Kvancz mentioned the Paradise Valley contract with RMFD, which was given to her prior to the Fire Advisory Committee Meetin�by the secretary, lVlse Li�tle9 for distribution to the Fire � Advisory Comtnittee per the request of Chief Wolff. Mr. Koslovvski � suggested that if there was a question to the proper procedure since it was not on the Agenda, they should not discuss ite Ms. Kvancz accepted his recommendation. � � � 1VIr. Kos�lowski made a motion to adj ourn the�neeting. 1VIr. McCulloch seconded the motion.
