Paula and I were planning to speak on Nalcoma Sky's behalf but can not because of family health commitments. However we are in full support of the proposed changes to the existing zoning and conceptual site plan as put forth in the neighbor meeting held at the Lutheran Church and as recommended for approval by the Town's Planning and Zoning Commission. We firmly believe that the changes will result in a better overall plan and is a win for Oro Valley and for us as possible future residents of a world class development. Thanks for your time and consideration of this letter of support. Please malty it a part of the record during the Mayor and Council meeting tonight. Sincerely, Kit T. To be transparent, Nakoma Sky and its representative, WLB Group, are both members of our Chamber. We believe the amended Nakoma Sky project is an excellent, considerate, and now financially viable addition to our community. This new proposal reduces by half the 5 -story portion of the main building; offers greater roof plane variation for more interesting visual lines; and moves the memory care / assisted living facility away from First Avenue, protecting views of neighbors and motorists. Most importantly, Nakoma Sky will protect 44 percent of its acreage — more than 30 acres of prime Oro Valley wildlife and desert habitat — as open space. It will bring 180 jobs to our community, immediately becoming a top -10 employer. It will bring hundreds of residents and their economic activity to Oro Valley. And it will bring a respected, generous business partner in the La Posada Holding Company. La Posada Holding Company has the resources, the talent and the vision to create what will certainly be a national -caliber senior living campus, a model for senior living in the future. We are excited about Nakoma Sky, and we strongly urge you to say "yes" to these requests. Thank you for your time and your service. Sincerely, Dave Dave Perry President / CEO On behalf of the board of the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce
