Hi Julie and Mike,
A happy, healthy, prosperous 2015 to you and yours.
Pasted in, and attached, please find a letter from our Chamber regarding the La Mesa RV
request for modifications regarding its RV sales events at Oro Valley Marketplace, Item 1 on
the regular agenda for the council's Wednesday, Jan. 7 meeting. Thanks for your help in
distributing this. I appreciate it very much.
Take good care,
Dave

Mayor Satish I. Hiremath
Members of the Oro Valley Town Council
Town staff and public
Ladies and gentlemen,
The Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce supports the request by La Mesa RV to
eliminate the expiration date, define the location, quantity and duration of each event, and limit
the number of vehicles related to the sales of recreational vehicles at Oro Valley Marketplace.
La Mesa is not a member of our Chamber. Vestar and Oro Valley Marketplace are members
of our Chamber.
Our support is simple— each time there is an RV sale at the marketplace, nearby retail stores
and restaurants see increased sales and foot traffic. In turn, that activity supports jobs and
keep businesses moving forward.
The RV sale also brings people to the Marketplace who may not have previously visited,
exposing them to everything the shopping center has to offer. They'll be back.
La Mesa sees opportunities here as well; that's why they're coming back. Our hope is that, as
sales expand and the market grows, La Mesa or another RV dealer will establish a more
permanent presence in our community.
No harm comes from this event. It's an appropriate use of existing undeveloped space within
the Marketplace.
We respectfully request that you support the La Mesa RV requests. Thank you for your time
and your service.
