Notice of Intent to Increase Water Rates

Notice of Intent
Adoption of a resolution providing notice of intent to increase water sets in motion the public process required by state statutes.
Resolution meets the intent of the statute by:
Making the water rate analysis report available for public review in Town Clerk’s Office and on the utility’s website
Town Clerk to advertise the resolution in newspaper
Establish the public hearing date for 1/7/15
The NOI does not approve a rate increase – rate increases are approved during the public hearing process.

Letter Received soliciting offers to purchase Long-Term Storage Credits in Tucson Active Management Area (TAMA)
Reclamation stores effluent in the Lower Santa Cruz Managed In-Channel Recharge Project in TAMA
Credits have built up over the years
Taking offers (bids) to purchase LTSCs
1 to 3 year agreement – paid annually
Need to submit offers by 12/10/14

HSL Properties to purchase the Hilton El Conquistador Properties that include the Hotel, Fitness Center, Golf, and Tennis facilities
HSL has interest in selling the Fitness Center, Golf, and Tennis facilities to the Town of Oro Valley
The Town of Oro Valley would work with an operator to manage golf, a portion of tennis, and food & beverage
The Town of Oro Valley would convert the fitness center and 15-tennis courts into Community & Recreation Center
