Honorable Mayor and Town Council Members:
We own Steam Pump Village Shops at 11005 and 11015 North Oracle Road, within Steam Pump Village.
The property includes Carpet One, Tucson Children's Museum, Interior Expressions, Farmer's Insurance,
and Baggins. We bought the property in 2014, but have been involved in the overall project since 2007.
Our property is just south of the proposed self -storage facility.
We fully support the self -storage use proposed for the project
We have a lot of pride in our property. It features beautiful architecture, top quality construction, a great
location and it is part of a first class project. The self -storage facility, as designed and in the location
proposed, is an excellent complement to Steam Pump Village.
It's a very attractive design, featuring windows and four-sided architecture. Frankly, it's the best looking
self -storage facility design that I have seen. That's important to us, as we hope to develop an office
building on the pad we own, and this facility will be visible.
The use fits in with the mixed use nature of the overall project, uses limited parking, and will be an
amenity to Oro Valley residents.
The location within the project, while not suitable for many retail uses, is suitable for the proposed use.
It helps complete the project, and presents well to the river trail and other pedestrian walkways.
With the restrictions, it will be an attractive addition to Steam Pump Village. It's nice to see another
developer share the pride we have in our Oro Valley property.
We won't be able to attend the meeting but wanted to make sure that you were aware of our support, as a
neighboring property owner, of the PAD amendment to allow the self -storage use as proposed.
