While I recognize the need for more housing in the Oro Valley area and am not opposed in principle to new developments, I believe this is not a suitable location for such a project. Traffic management is already an issue in this zone due to the shopping center, and the proposal put forward by the developers falls well short of accounting for the increase in traffic that the development will produce. Other parcels of land in the vicinity of Oracle Road would better be able to sustain such a development without crippling residential roads, and would also place residents closer to amenities.
