CALL TO ORDER—Chair Campbell called the meeting to order at 10:04 a.m.
PRESENT: Anne Campbell,Chair

CALL TO AUDIENCE—No speakers.
Mr.Abraham requested to move Item#1 to follow Item#3 and Chair Campbell agreed.
ITEM#2—DISCUSSION AND UPDATE ON TUCSON WATER INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT(IGA)RELATING TO THE DELIVERY OF CENTRAL ARIZONA
PROJECT WATER
Mr.Abraham reviewed the Tucson Water IGA,relating to providing"wet"water delivery of a
portion of Town's CAP water entitlement utilizing the City of Tucson's potable water system.
Mr.Abraham compared the previous IGA delivery cost with the new IGA delivery cost.The
new IGA has provisions to allow for annual escalation based upon Tucson City Council
approved increases.The IGA has been updated to allow an additional 600 acre feet of delivery
(as available)per year and includes an additional delivery location.
ITEM#3—DISCUSSION AND UPDATE ON NORTHWEST RECHARGE,RECOVERY AND
DELIVERY SYSTEM IGA
Mr.Abraham reviewed the agreement with Oro Valley Water Utility,Metro and Marana Water
partnering in the design,construction and operation of another recharge and recovery water
system to get more"wet"CAP water to the Town.He explained what the IGA governs,the
contractual capacity for delivery allocation and the estimated cost share.

Mr.Abraham reviewed the following:
- Current and near future water resource availability and entitlement
- Historic and future projections of water utilization by source of supply
- Current and 7-year projection for storage
- 2017 Tucson Water components of delivery cost and 2024 projected Tucson Water
components of delivery cost
- 2017 CAP delivery summary by location and 2024 CAP delivery summary by location
- 2025 CAP delivery summary by location(Tucson Water IGA)
- 2025 CAP delivery summary by location(NWRRDS IGA)
ITEM#4—DISCUSSION AND UPDATE REGARDING THE WATER CONSERVATION
PROGRAM
Ms.Boyce provided a history of the water conservation program and discussed future efforts.
Discussion ensued regarding social media efforts,incentives and strategies to get more
customers to sign up for AquaHawk and set their thresholds.
Ms.Kiel reported the number of weeks after first and second violations needs to be specified in
the Water Wasting Code and staff will make these adjustments and update the Water Utility
Commission prior to the Water Wasting Code going to Town Council in October.
Chair Campbell provided a recommendation on potential goals for the new subcommittee.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Chair Campbell requested the following future agenda items,seconded by Member McMillan:
water infrastructure security;stormwater issues and how it affects use;how water use affects
rates;water conservation ideas.

MOTION:A motion was made by Chair Campbell and seconded by Member McMillan to
adjourn the meeting at 11:37 a.m.MOTION carried,2-0.
