HomeMy WebLinkAboutPackets - Council Packets (921)Council Meeting Regular Session October 17, 2018 1 Town Council Meeting Announcements 2 Upcoming Meetings 3 4 Monterra Hills Wash and Common Area Dedication October 17, 2018 Paul Keesler 5 Formal Dedication & Acceptance On September 20, 2017, Council heard this request and provided direction via a series of conditions to be met prior to returning and requesting formal approval As a reminder, the parcels to be dedicated are the blue and green areas These conditions are detailed in Exhibit "C" The applicant has met all conditions, with one exception 4 lanes with sidewalks and multi-use lanes 6 Condition Exception Conditions 1 & 3 required the removal of all concrete lined slopes from land to be dedicated The only slope within the dedicated wash parcel is the portion along Monterra Vista Drive Staff supports keeping this slope due to proximity to the public ROW and street 7 Slope Along Monterra Vista Drive This slope protects Monterra Vista Drive from damage & erosion This slope also acts as the inlet to the culverts draining the main wash under Monterra Vista Drive Slope in good shape with no vegetation penetrations 8 Town of Oro Valley Questions? Town of Oro Valley Mayor & Council Meeting October 17, 2018 2018 Potable Water Master Plan 13 2018 Potable Water Master Plan What is the 2018 Potable Water Master Plan The Master Plan is a technical document that supports Council policy & direction. The Master Plan is not a policy document. 14 Master Plan Objectives & Goals Develop a 10-year Master Plan that allows the Water Utility to meet future potable water demands consistent with Council policies by: Providing customers with a safe and reliable municipal water supply. Preserving and protecting the Town’s groundwater supplies. Expanding the utilization of the Town’s Central Arizona Project (CAP) water allocation. The Master Plan provides the Water Utility with a road map that: Includes infrastructure that ensures a safe and reliable municipal water supply. Includes infrastructure that allows for the delivery of additional CAP water into the Water Utility’s service area. Identifies a 10-year prioritized Infrastructure Improvement Plan. . 15 Master Plan Scope Collection and review of available data, documents, reports.; Existing and future demand analysis (areas and rates of development); Hydraulic model development; Existing and future system analyses; Infrastructure Improvement Plan development, prioritization; and Master Plan report preparation 16 Master Plans (Past & Future) 17 Infrastructure Improvement Projects Existing System Improvement Projects (Operating Fund) Pressure reducing valves, main replacements and well replacements. Growth Related Projects (Potable Water Impact Fee Fund) Storage tank capacity expansions, booster station capacity expansions and pipeline interconnects. Northwest Recharge, Recovery and Delivery System Projects (Groundwater Preservation Fee and Alternative Water Impact Fee Fund) Projects include recovery wells, transmission pipelines, reservoirs and booster stations.
