I have seen our town become a model for other communities with our managed growth, education, public safety, recreation, and services to residents. As an active and involved resident, I am concerned about the potential annexation along the Tangerine corridor. If we do not proceed with annexing this land, we lose control and management over what goes on that property. I do not think our community should be subject to any other owner's ideas of what can be built on that property. We will have little or no control regardless of the Town's or resident's preferences. Additionally, we need to expand our tax base to continue managing growth and services to residents. If we do not annex this property, we lose additional revenue along with control. As Oro Valley demographics continue moving to a more diverse population, we need revenue to continue our services, housing, education, and opportunities to live, work and play in our town. These are some of the things that have made us a nationally recognized model for other communities. I urge you to work with the State and annex the Tangerine Rd. property so we manage the impact this property will have on our town. Kay Williams Oro Valley AZ
