CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chair Outlaw Ryan called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Robert Kellar, Commissioner

Absent: Anna Clark, Chair

Joe Andrews, Chief Civil Deputy Attorney
Attendees: Josh Nicholson, Town Council Liaison
Commissioner Thomas joined via Zoom.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Vice Chair Outlaw Ryan led the Commission and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
CALL TO AUDIENCE
There were no speaker requests.
COUNCIL LIAISON COMMENTS
Council Liaison Josh Nicholson provided updates on upcoming Town Council agendas as related to Planning
items.
REGULAR SESSION AGENDA
1.REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE MAY 7, 2024 REGULAR SESSION MEETING MINUTES
Motion by Commissioner Joe Nichols, seconded by Commissioner Robert Kellar to approve the May
June 4, 2024 Minutes, Planning and Zoning Commission 1
Motion by Commissioner Joe Nichols, seconded by Commissioner Robert Kellar to approve the May
7, 2024 meeting minutes as written.
Vote: 5 - 0 Carried
Due to technical difficulties, Commissioner Thomas was unable to vote.
2.PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION ONLY: UPDATE ON THE COMMUNITY'S EFFORT TO
CREATE OV'S PATH FORWARD, INCLUDING THE RESULTS FROM THE BIG COMMUNITY
SURVEY
Principal Planner Milini Simms provided a presentation that included the following:

- The BIG Community Survey
Consultant Jan Gordley of The Gordley Group continued the presentation.

Ms. Simms concluded the presentation:

Discussion ensued among the Commission, consultants and staff.
PLANNING UPDATE (INFORMATIONAL ONLY)
Planning Manager Bayer Vella informed the Commission about American Planning Association Commissioner
memberships and the annual state conference this September. He also spoke about recent state law changes
prompting upcoming code amendment initiations from the Commission.

ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Commissioner Philip Zielinski, seconded by Commissioner Joe Nichols to adjourn the
meeting.
Vice Chair Outlaw Ryan adjourned the meeting at 7:01 p.m.
