LA CAÑADA DRIVE            REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 6:00 PM   CALL TO ORDER    Chair Temple called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.   ROLL CALL Present: Antonia Landau, Member Joanne Moothart, Vice Chair Philip Saletta, Member Emily Veres, Member Michael Weisberger, Member Megan Worzella, Member Gary Temple, Chair Staff Present:Rosalyn Epting, Parks and Recreation Director Paul Melcher, Community and Economic Development Director Dave Gephart, Chief Financial Officer Renee Olvera, Senior Planner Nick Scala, Community Center Manager Casey WIlson, Recording Secretary DEPARTMENT REPORT ON CURRENT EVENTS    Rosalyn Epting reported on the following: Summer camp recap. Twelve different camps were offered throughout the town. 4th of July event was attended by over 10,000 people. Some of the Parks and Recreation staff attended the Annual Arizona Parks and Recreation Conference Two awards were received at the conference: one for Outstanding Recreational Program and the other for Mayor Winfield for Outstanding Public Official. Steam Pump ranch shade project update. Elevator project at the Community Center update. CDO wash project update. Pusch Ridge golf course pedestrian bridge update. Hole #5 at the Conquistador course update. Grants, Arizona Game and Fish awarded the town a 50-50 matching grant for the shade structure at the archery range. 50th swag is available for sale on Printify. Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve update. Upcoming events. 9/19/2024 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Regular Session 1   COUNCIL LIAISON REPORT ON CURRENT EVENTS    Joyce Jones-Ivy, Council Liaison, was not present.   CALL TO AUDIENCE    Chair Temple opened the call to the audience. No speakers present Chair Temple closed the call to the audeince.   CONSENT AGENDA   A.REVIEW AND REAPPROVAL OF THE FEBRUARY 20, 2024, MEETING MINUTES Motioned by member Antonia Landau, seconded by member Joanne Moothart to reapprove the February 20, 2024 meeting minutes.       Vote: 7 - 0 Carried   B.REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MAY 21, 2024 REGULAR SESSION MEETING MINUTES Motioned by Chair Temple, seconded by member Joanne Moothart to approve the May 21, 2024 meeting minutes.       Vote: 7 - 0 Carried   REGULAR SESSION AGENDA   1.UPDATE AND DISCUSSION REGARDING THE TOWN'S GROUP BOOKING AND LEISURE TRAVEL STRATEGIES       Paul Melcher gave a presentation. Members asked questions.   2.DISCUSSION OF COMMUNITY CENTER FINANCIAL RESULTS THROUGH JUNE 2024       Mr. Dave Gephart, Chief Financial Officer, gave a presentation. Members asked questions.   3.PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION ABOUT THE COMMUNITY'S EFFORT TO CREATE THE NEXT 10-YEAR ACTION PLAN, KNOWN AS OV'S PATH FORWARD.       Renee Olvera, Senior Planner, presented. Members made comments and asked questions.   4.DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO MAKE A RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL REGARDING RENAMING WEST LAMBERT LANE PARK    9/19/2024 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Regular Session 2    Motioned by member Antonia Landau, seconded by member Joanne Moothart to approve the following three names in order of preference to the Town Council for the renaming of West Lambert Lane Park. 1. Golden Peak Trails 2. Panorama Trails 3. Golden Peak Loop    Vote: 7 - 0 Carried   5.DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING COMMUNITY AND RECREATION CENTER POLICY CHANGES FOR MEMBER RESERVATION CANCELATIONS AND NON-MEMBER RESERVATIONS       Community Center Manager Nick Scala spoke about the desired policy changes with regard to reservations for members and non-members at the Community and Recreation Center.    Motion by Vice Chair Joanne Moothart, seconded by Member Emily Veres to approve the new non member reservation policy.  Vote: 7 - 0 Carried    Motion by Member Antonia Landau, seconded by Member Emily Veres to approve, with changes, the new member reservation policy.  Vote: 7 - 0 Carried   ADJOURNMENT    Motioned by Chair Temple, seconded by member Joanne Moothart to adjourn at 7:53 p.m.    Vote: 7 - 0 Carried     I hereby certify that the foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of the minutes of the regular session of the Town of Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Advisory Board of Oro Valley, Arizona held on the 17th day of September, 2024.
