FY 2021/22 FINAL BUDGET
Tentative Budget adopted on June 2, 2021 which set the expenditure limitation of $161,956,509
Budget remains unchanged
Adoption of Final Budget includes:
Approval of 10-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
Adoption of FY 2021/22 General Pay Plan
Council has authority to amend budget throughout the fiscal year

FINAL NOTES AND NEXT STEPS
Establish the overall expenditure limitation at $161,956,509
Publish Final Budget figures as required by the State of Arizona’s Auditor General’s Office
Budget will be submitted to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for consideration of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Budget reflects the careful allocation of available resources

Genesis of the Water Code Amendments
The Water Code Amendments were proposed by the Utility’s Water Resource & Conservation
Subcommittee and brought to the Commission for consideration in 2017
The Commission agreed on the following objectives:
Update the Water Code to correct deficiencies in current code
Update the code to reflect the community’s commitment to water conservation
Support the goals of the Town’s General Plan & Strategic Leadership Plan
Clearly define “water wasting” and prohibit the act of “water wasting”
Change the wording of the Water Conservation levels to better align with regional definitions
Give the Utility the tools needed to enforce compliance with the proposed code amendments
Staff is supportive of the Commission’s proposed Water Code Amendments
