HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - Community Engagement Advisory Group - 1/28/2025MINUTES OV'S PATH FORWARD RESIDENT WORKING GROUP MEETING JOINT STUDY SESSION January 28, 2025 ONLINE VIA ZOOM   Staff Present:Milini Simms, Principal Planner Bayer Vella, Planning Manager Michael Spaeth, Principal Planner Alexandra Chavez, Planner Kyle Packer, Senior Planner Rene Olvera, Senior Planner             RESIDENT WORKING GROUP MEETING AT OR AFTER 5:30 PM   CALL TO ORDER Principal Planner Milini Simms called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.   AGENDA TOPICS   1.INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION ABOUT PARTICIPATING IN OV'S PATH FORWARD RESIDENT WORKING GROUPS       Principal Planner Milini Simms introduced Mayor Winfield and asked him to welcome the group. Mayor Winfield welcomed the group and thanked them for their service in the OV Path Forward 10-year action plan process. Ms. Simms provided a presentation with the following items: Agenda for Meeting Importance of the plan Resident Working Groups Preparing for Meetings OV Path Forward Website Overview Discussion ensued between staff and attendees. Ms. Simms introduced Planning Manager Bayer Vella to the group. Mr. Vella presented the following items: Roles and expectations Definition of consensus and acceptance were discussed Topics of discussion Ms. Simms asked everyone to break into small groups to establish ground rules for resident working groups. A representative from each group presented a summary of their discussion to everyone. Planner Alexandra Chavez presented a comprehensive list of the Ground Rules for the working January 28, 2025 Minutes, OV's Path Forward Resident Working Group 1 group meetings. Ms. Simms launched a poll asking if there is a consensus on the Ground Rules. The ground rules were accepted by the majority of the group.
