HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - Community Engagement Advisory Group - 3/27/2025MINUTES OV'S PATH FORWARD RESIDENT WORKING GROUP MEETING JOINT STUDY SESSION March 27, 2025 ONLINE VIA ZOOM   Staff Present:Milini Simms, Principal Planner Rene Olvera, Senior Planner Paul Melcher, Community and Economic Development Director             RESIDENT WORKING GROUP MEETING AT OR AFTER 5:30 PM   CALL TO ORDER Principal Planner Milini Simms called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.   AGENDA TOPICS   1.DISCUSSION TO HELP CRAFT COMMUNITY, ARTS AND CULTURE GOALS, POLICIES AND ACTIONS RELATED TO THE COMMUNITY'S NEXT 10-YEAR ACTION PLAN, KNOWN AS OV'S PATH FORWARD Ms. Simms presented the following items: Tonight's Meeting Goals, Policies and Actions Ground Rules Community Character and Culture: Resident Guidance Community Character and People: Resident Guidance Navigating the whiteboard Ms. Simms led the group through a facilitated discussion about the residents' guidance along with the draft goals, policies, and actions pertaining to: Supporting Arts and Culture Central Gathering Area Community Character Supporting All Ages – Youth and Families Supporting All Ages – Older Adults Quality Schools and Educational Opportunities Guiding Principle The group discussed and reviewed the draft of the goals, policies, actions, and the associated guiding principle to make sure they reflect the resident values, priorities and expectations shared during Phase 1.
