HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - Community Engagement Advisory Group - 4/22/2025MINUTES OV'S PATH FORWARD RESIDENT WORKING GROUP MEETING JOINT STUDY SESSION April 22, 2025 ONLINE VIA ZOOM   Staff Present:Milini Simms, Principal Planner Rene Olvera, Senior Planner             RESIDENT WORKING GROUP MEETING AT OR AFTER 5:30 PM   CALL TO ORDER Principal Planner Milini Simms called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.   AGENDA TOPICS   1.DISCUSSION TO HELP CRAFT ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE GOALS, POLICIES AND ACTIONS RELATED TO THE COMMUNITY'S NEXT 10-YEAR ACTION PLAN, KNOWN AS OV'S PATH FORWARD Ms. Simms presented the following items: Tonight's Meeting Goals, Policies and Actions Environment and Views: Resident Direction and Guiding Principle Climate and Sustainability: Resident Direction and Guiding Principle Ground Rules Helpful Tips Ms. Simms led the group through a facilitated discussion about the residents' guidance along with the draft goals, policies, and actions pertaining to: Open Space Conservation Areas / Environmental Resources Development Patterns Views Heat Mitigation Recycling / Waste Programs Encourage solar and energy-efficient appliances Electric Vehicles Other Ideas Guiding Principles The group discussed and reviewed the draft of the goals, policies, actions, and associated guiding principles to make sure they reflect the resident values, priorities and expectations shared during Phase 1.
