JOINT STUDY SESSION
April 29, 2025

RESIDENT WORKING GROUP MEETING AT OR AFTER 5:30 PM
CALL TO ORDER
Principal Planner Milini Simms called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
AGENDA TOPICS
1.DISCUSSION ABOUT THE LAND USE MAP FOR THE COMMUNITY 'S NEXT 10-YEAR PLAN,
KNOWN AS OV'S PATH FORWARD
Ms. Simms presented the following items:
Tonight's Meeting
Ground Rules
Ms. Simms led the group in a facilitated discussion about the:
Land Use Map Changes
Planning Area and Urban Service Boundaries
NCO General Plan Land Use Designation
Growth Areas
The group achieved consensus on:
Making all of the parcel-specific land use map changes that align the land use designation with
the existing zoning and areas along Oracle Road.
The Planning Area and Urban Service Boundaries with a revision to extend the western limits to
the Marana boundary and southern limits to Rudasill.
The NCO General Plan Land Use Designation with minor revisions.
Expand the growth areas to include Tangerine and Thornydale, La Cholla and Lambert, and
along Oracle to Rudasill.
This discussion will continue to address the amendment criteria, draft goals, policies, actions and
guiding principle at the next meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Principal Planner Milini Simms adjourned the meeting at 7:17 p.m.
