Mr. Bayer Vella
Zoning Administrator
Town of Oro Valley
11000 N. La Canada Dr.
Oro Valley, AZ 85737
Dear Mr. Vella:
With this letter I respectfully request an interpretation of the Oro Valley Zoning Code relative to
Section 23.6 A.3.b.
I am in pursuit of a building permit for the construction of a building to store my Recreational
Vehicle. This section of the zoning code simply states that "Accessory buildings shall not exceed
the height of the main building nor be any closer to the front lot line than the main building."
My proposed structure will be built at a lower elevation and separate from the main building.
The top of the finished structure will be below the top of the main building. The new structure
will be not be visible from the front of the property and it will be partially screened by existing
vegetation to the south and west, we believe this request is consistent with the intention of the
zoning code that is to protect the aesthetics of the neighborhood.
r
Sincerely,
Barry Gillaspie
