As you may be aware-since the facility essentially abuts your office,the current design is a fairly dense development of apartment buildings. However, the architectural character of the design of the buildings and the site development layout is such that the perception of the facility is one of high-end residential units set in a rich landscape. This is achieved by a highly articulated façade treatment which varies by building adding both eye delight and texture to the walking and driving experience. Additionally, the variation in grade elevation adds to the aesthetic impact and interest. Based on the existing character of the building elevations and façades, we strongly disagree with the Idea of having alternative building color schemes. In our view,this more colorful approach would greatly detract from the facility and greatly overemphasize the"active"façade play of light/shadow on the various architectural forms.
