HomeMy WebLinkAboutOV138808 MEMORANDUM TO : Oro Valley Development Review Board FROM: Steve Hagedorn, Zoning Administrator DATE: April 6, 1988 RE : REVIEW OF PERMANENT SIGNAGE REQUESTS Foothills Tech. Center This sign is to be located directly outside of this building at the northeast corner of Stallard Place and Hanley Blvd. This sign is to be located 10 feet from the corner of Hanley Blvd. and Stallard Place. This sign is of concrete masonry construction and will bear the name "Foothills Technical Center" and the logo for the Foothills Technical Center. The colors and size of the sign all conform to the Oro Valley Sign Code as well as the La Reserve Planned Area Development Design Standards. Staff recommends approval of this sign. The location of the sign will be checked by the Building Inspector prior to construction to insure that all site visibility triangles are met in the placement of this sign. Autumn Hill Subdivision - Cienega Ltd. This sign will be located at the entrance to the project on Lambert Lane. There will be two signs, one on either side of the entry drive. These signs are to be of concrete masonry construction with a stucco finish. There is a 4 inch ceramic tile detail stripe along the top of the sign. The signs are curvilinear in shape and the sign copy conforms to the existing lettering style on the Canada Hills project entry signs at La Canada and Lambert Lane. Staff recommends approval of this sign. Masters Hill Subdivision - Cienega Ltd. This signage is proposed for the project entry on Naranja Drive. The signs will be located on the middle wing wall on both sides of the entry drive into this project. The entry drive is characterized by a tunnel entrance. The sign will be poured-in- place concrete construction and there is a 4 inch colored tile detail located along the top of the sign. The copy for the sign is unique unto this signage. It does not conform to the lettering style of the Canada Hills development, however, I do not feel that this detracts from the sign and, therefore, staff recommends that this signage, also, be approved by the Development Review Board.
