Parkinson's Buena Vista is a real problem. As an equestrian, it requires me to use the road instead of the sandy right-of-
way. This is not a safe solution.

Council members,
My husband and I built our home on Callle Buena Vista 45 years ago, choosing this area of Linda Vista
Citrus Tracts because of its rural feel and it was suitable for horses.
Since OVCN has expanded we have found our quiet neighborhood changed due to their Sunday and
Event parking problem. Our street Calee Buena Vista is lined with cars making it difficult to walk along the
road or ride a bicycle safely. As many as 78 cars have parked along the street for their December
Christmas tree lighting event.
This church has never contacted us about their plans, although they have told you, the Council, that they
have "contacted the neighbors" regarding their plans. We live basically in their backyard.
We think they should use the new appropriated land to provide adequate parking for all they hope to
accomplish in the future, instead of expecting the neighborhood to adjust their tifestyles.
It's quite selfish for a Christian organization to ignore reasonable requests.

We are in support of the initiative for no parking on both sides of Buena Vista north of Calle Condordia
We ride our bikes from our home on Rancho Verde via Calle Concordia to Buena Vista to go to the beautiful
neighborhood where the private golf course is and thru the gate onto to the Tucson Loop. I also walk that area and many
times see people riding their horses on Buena Vista when the weather cools off. I love this neighborhood but dread going
to that area on Sunday since so many people are rushing to get to church and it gets scary on Calle Concordia
maneuvering on the bike lane with garbage cans out and people pulling into or out of places on the street for church which
are not meant for parking since the lot is full or they are just too lazy after church and want to get out of the area asap. I
just would rather have some sort of enforcement and no parking on the street before it is too late and an accident with a
bike, pedestrian or horse and rider happens in a pristine neighborhood on a Sunday.
I also ride in Catalina state park and they started enforcing and put up no parking signs since people were not using
designated parking lots and being lazy they just parked off the road. Seems during busy times this system works and I
think a busy Sunday for church on that corner should have a similar enforcement. If approved by council then people
should get notified on their windshield a couple times and if they keep parking there they should be ticketed eventually so
they will get the idea.

Dear Mayor Winfield, Vice -Mayor Barrett, and Town Council. Members,
I am writing to express my full support for agenda item 2, which proposes a no -parking zone on both sides of Buena
Vista, extending at least 1,000 feet north of Calle Concordia. This is a critical safety issue that needs to be addressed
immediately.
For years, the heavy on -street parking, primarily due to overflow from the Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene (OVCN),
has created dangerous conditions for our neighborhood. This congestion makes it difficult for residents to navigate the
area. This is not a matter of convenience; it is a matter of public safety and neighborhood well-being.
Establishing a no -parking zone is a necessary and long -overdue step to ensure our streets are safe and accessible for
everyone. I urge you to vote in favor of this proposal and help restore safety to the Buena Vista corridor.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this urgent matter.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Ford

Councilmembers,
My name is Doug Dalby, I live on Calle Buena Vista about halfway between Calle Concordia and Linda
Vista and I am very much in favor of the proposed no parking restriction along Buena Vista (agenda item
#2 for the September 3rd Council meeting).
Since Buena Vista is a pretty narrow right of way, has no shoulders, and no sidewalks or pathway for
pedestrians I feel that allowing parking it this area has been an unsafe situation for years. There have
been multiple times that I have had to stop abruptly as people simply swing their car doors open to exit
their vehicles without checking for oncoming traffic. On a couple of occasions kids have darted out onto
Buena Vista from between parked cars and there is not much room for evasive action by the oncoming
driver.
I have heard several times that OVCN has stated that they have ample parking for their facility so I would
simply ask, if that is true then why aren't they using their parking instead of parking along the roadway.
We travel Buena Vista most Sundays as we go to and from our church and I don't remember a time in
recent years when there weren't any cars parked in the Buena Vista right of way north of CaRe Concordia,
Thank you for your consideration,
Doug Dalby
