LA CAÑADA DRIVE            REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 4:00 PM   CALL TO ORDER Chair Crocker called the meeting to order at 4:04 P.M.   ROLL CALL Present: Rob Schlicher, Commissioner Richard Hawkinson, Vice Chair Richard Crocker, Chair Staff Present: Dennis Roberts, Stormwater Division Manager Attendees: Dr. Harry Greene, Town Council Liaison CALL TO AUDIENCE Oro Valley resident Bill Jackson requested information regarding the Highland Wash FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) status. Stormwater Division Manager Dennis Roberts said that he will cover this issue in the Directors Report and that DEMA (Department of Emergency and Military Affairs) continues to anticipate FEMA's follow up on the grant status by late June to early July. We will provide further updates as new information becomes available.   COUNCIL LIAISON COMMENTS (INFORMATIONAL ONLY) Council Liaison Dr. Harry Greene provided an update of the recent Town Council meeting related to the Stormwater Utility.   DIRECTORS REPORT (INFORMATIONAL ONLY) MS4 Training Report ADEQ Audit Update Update on Stormwater Utility Rate Increase Annual Field Trip Recap Project Updates Highland Wash at Highland Manufactured Home Community Via Mandarina Project Limewood Outlet Erosion Mitigation Project Stormwater Utility Commissioner Vacancy   REGULAR SESSION AGENDA   05/15/25 Minutes, Stormwater Utility Commission Regular Session 1 1.REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE MARCH 20 AND APRIL 18, 2025 MEETING MINUTES       Motion by Commissioner Rob Schlicher, seconded by Vice Chair Richard Hawkinson to approve the March 20, 2025 meeting minutes as written.  Vote: 3 - 0 Carried    Motion by Commissioner Rob Schlicher, seconded by Vice Chair Richard Hawkinson to approve the April 18, 2025 meeting minutes as written.  Vote: 3 - 0 Carried   2.DISCUSSION OF MEETINGS AND EVENTS       Mr. Roberts discussed recent meetings and events.   3.DISCUSSION OF 2024/2025 TOWN OF ORO VALLEY MS4 COMPLIANCE SCHEDULE THIRD QUARTER REPORT       Mr. Roberts reported on the Town's third quarter compliance progress for the 2024-2025 Annual Reporting Period. The Stormwater Utility remains on track, having successfully met this quarter's objective for ongoing Best Management Practices (BMP) implementation. The Commission reviewed the third quarter compliance schedule.   4.PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF ORO VALLEY MONSOON PREPAREDNESS       Mr. Roberts provided a presentation regarding Monsoon Preparedness that included the following: - Protecting Oro Valley Residents - What are Monsoons? - How do Monsoons Impact Oro Valley? - Heavy Rainfall - Flash Flood Dangers - How Stormwater Management Keeps Oro Valley Safe - Regional Collaboration for Monsoon Readiness - Spreading the Message - Be Ready for Monsoon Season: Resources & Tips for Oro Valley - Protect Your Property: Oro Valley's Free Sandbag Program - Monsoon Preparedness Starts with You   ADJOURNMENT    Motion by Commissioner Rob Schlicher, seconded by Vice Chair Richard Hawkinson to adjourn the meeting.  Vote: 3 - 0 Carried    Chair Crocker adjourned the meeting at 4:36 p.m.     I hereby certify that the foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of the minutes of the regular session of the 05/15/25 Minutes, Stormwater Utility Commission Regular Session 2 I hereby certify that the foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of the minutes of the regular session of the Town of Oro Valley Stormwater Utility Commission of Oro Valley, Arizona held on the 15th day of May 2025.
