Subject: Future plans to restore Vistoso Golf course property
To: Michael Standish for the Town of Oro Valley Council members
We understand the property formally known as The Vistoso Golf course is under contract to be purchased by The
Conservation Fund (TCF). Fund raising has begun in earnest to raise $1.8M to support this effort. To help us support the
fundraising, it is important to us to have an idea of what plans have been developed, or are in the process of being
developed, to restore the property. We feel it is imperative restoration begins immediately upon closing on the
property. We would like the restoration and beautification of the pond area to be a top priority. This is a major focal
point for the Vistoso Highlands neighborhood, Rancho Vistoso, and Oro Valley.
The pond restoration, and subsequent development of overall restoration and maintenance plans, is a key factor
determining our level of financial support. We are not aware of any plans for restoration and improvement by the Town
for this property.
