LA CANADA DRIVE REGULAR SESSION AT OR AFTER 4 P.M. CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL CALL TO THE AUDIENCE - At this time, any member of the public is allowed to address the Commission on any issue not listed on today’s agenda. Pursuant to the Arizona Open Meeting Law, individual Commission members may ask Town staff to review the matter, ask that the matter be placed on a future agenda, or respond to criticism made by speakers. However, the Stormwater Utility Commission may not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during "Call to the Audience." In order to speak during "Call to the Audience" please specify what you wish to discuss when completing the blue speaker card. 1. Approval of the May 17, 2018 regular session minutes 2. Discussion with Town Council Liaison to the Stormwater Utility Commission Joe Hornat regarding recent Town Council meetings concerning Stormwater issues 3. Discussion of Stormwater meetings and events 4. Discussion of on-going Stormwater projects a. Met with the Highlands Board about the floodplain mapping b. Notice-to-Proceed given to Kimley-Horn for preparation of Operation and Maintenance Plans for Street Maintenance and Golf Maintenance Yards c. Inspected and scheduled sediment removal from Mutterer’s Wash at Greenock Drive d. Received and reviewed Development Pre-Application for Villa Milagro. Recommended controlling sediment going into lower Mutterer’s Wash e. Final-soil-stabilization planning for Nakoma Sky per 2013 CGP requirements f. ADEQ is beginning a process to consider assuming the Clean Water Act Section 404 permit program (CWA 404), including Jurisdictional determinations and project impact review (e.g., dredging and filling of wetlands) g. Miscellaneous Survey Services are on-going for Logan’s Crossing, Calle Buena Vista at Carmack Wash, El Conquistador Drainageway Reconstruction and Calle Loma Linda Drainage Improvements h. Rain storm events 5. CLEAN WATER ACT §404 ASSUMPTION RULEMAKING 4. Discussion of on - going Stormwater projects 4g -Miscellaneous Survey Services are on-going for Logan’s Crossing, Calle Buena Vista at Carmack Wash, El Conquistador Drainageway Reconstruction and Calle Loma Linda Drainage Improvements. 4. Discussion of on -going Stormwater projects 4h -Rain Storm Events. •Widespread dry conditions across the West leading to warmer temperatures across the area which encourages the subtropical, or monsoon, high pressure to migrate north sooner, which can lead to an earlier onset of moist southeasterly monsoonal flow, and rainfall. •A trend toward El Nino conditions late in the monsoon, means warmer ocean temperatures could be available for tropical weather systems to spread moisture farther north, possibly boosting rainfall during September. •Climate models are favoring a wetter than normal monsoon. •The official outlook from the Climate Prediction Center indicates favorable chances for a wetter than normal monsoon. •Rainfall will likely be widely variable across the region and vary significantly over small distances.
