LA CANADA DRIVE CALL TO ORDER 6:00p.m. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Mike Zinkin, Chairman John Buette Tom Gribb Harold Kandetzke Scott Leska Shelley Solomon ABSENT: Marc Panas, Vice-Chairman PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chairman Zinkin led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. CALL TO AUDIENCE Opened and closed without comment. CONSENT AGENDA A. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF THE APRIL 10, 2007 DEVELOPMENT REVIEW BOARD MINUTES. MOTION: A motion was made by John Buette and seconded by Harold Kandetzke to approve the minutes from April 10th as submitted. MOTION carried, 6-0. B. OV13-06-43, Tamarron Homes, representing the Murdocks, requests approval of architecture elevations for a single family home to be located on Lot 13 of Shadows of the Ridge subdivision. This is a free-standing townhome style building with a single-car garage. MOTION carried, 6-0. REGULAR AGENDA possible Review and action to recommend substantial revisions to the Development ment Review Board (DRB) bylaws The DRB assigned a committee procedural/operational revise the bylaws. Mr. Vella entered Exhibit A into the record. p Member Kandetzke stated the bylaws were developed to remove any inconsistencies and suggested combining Items G and H in Section 2.4, Sign Review Committee Meetings. This amendment would become item F in Section 2.4. Chair Zinkin explained in the future if a member of the DRB intended to vote motion, theywould need to give an explanation of their vote. Discussion possible ossible action to request Planning & Zoning Commission and Town Council consideration of Oro Valley Zoning Code Revised amendments to require water conservation as a component of landscaping and architecture. Members wish to request zoning changes that will result in greater water conservation efforts. This project must be approved and prioritized bythe Town Council as a Planning Work Item. Mr. Vella explained that the Planning and Zoning Commission did have this same item on their last agenda and recognize ize the need to address this issue. In addition, the Oro Valley p Public Works Department is currently working to revise their drainage manual to incorporate water harvesting. Mr. Vella introduced Kevin McCaleb, OV Water Conservation Specialist for the Water Utility who was present to answer any questions. Mr. McCaleb stated that Oro Valleyis the only town in the State of Arizona that has an automatic rainprogram ram and stressed the importance of the issue.
