CALL TO THE AUDIENCE
Councilmember Zinkin discussed the following two issues:
1) At the last regular meeting, the Town Council discussed putting a cover over the steam
pump. There was an amendment to the budget which keeps the $125,000 dedicated for
the "steam pump", but it leaves the issue of a preservation method to the experts. There
is a 60-day moratorium. Councilmember Zinkin requested two members from the Historic
Preservation Commission and two members from the Oro Valley Historical Society
meet to decide the best way to spend the $125,000. He requested that the group provide
a consensus to the Town Council by September.
2) He distributed a summary Steam Pump Ranch Master Plan and he encouraged the
commission members to share their thoughts with the Town Council during their meeting
on June 4, 2014.
